MORSE PRACTICE

Michael, GM5AUG has a new 80m GB2CW transmission on Sundays at 7.30pm around 3555kHz. This is intended for anyone who wishes to learn CW, at any level. Following the transmission, feedback for students will be available via Zoom.

TECHNICAL & SUPPORT NET

On Wednesday, from 8pm to 9pm, George, MM0JNL will be hosting a Technical and Support Net via the GB3BT repeater. The net is open to anyone, within range, who has any radio-related issues and needs assistance or guidance. This is a peer-support net, the aim of which is to provide support to fellow amateurs. On Saturday the 22nd of April, George, will be holding a support group from 6.30pm until 8.30pm at Wild Crest Park Community Room, Brewery Road, Wooler NE71 6QG. This group is open to anyone with an interest in radio, be they licensed amateurs, those self-studying for their first or next licence, or shortwave listeners. GB5SC – BBC 100 Years Of Broadcasting in Scotland (5SC)

Operation commenced on the morning of Saturday 4th @ 0000hrs from the present BBC Pacific Quay headquarters, and ran till 2359 hrs on Monday the 6th (the exact date 100 years ago) using HF, VHF, UHF and QO-100. The BBC club (Amateur Radio Group) team were joined by operators from the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society. Also to compliment the operation, GB2RS for the Glasgow Area was transmitted from the ‘Shack’ by Vic GM3VTB. Pictures of the operation along with video is now available. MORSE COMMUNICATIONS

TECHNICAL NET

On Wednesday, from 8 to 9pm, George, MM0JNL, will be hosting a Technical and Support Net on 145.325MHz, V26. The net is open to anyone, within range, who has any radio-related issues and needs assistance or guidance. This is a peer-support net, the aim of which is to provide support to fellow amateurs.
