“Apart from the receiver under the roll top which was a Tobe superhet the rest was all ex-WD surplus from stores in Beith all for the cost of £2.50 per cwt. He really splashed out with £17.50 for the lot and sent a truck down to collect it. We couldn’t get it up to his shack so it rested in the dining room much my Mum’s disgust”
