During the COVID crisis a list of known club nets, and activities, is now being published on the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society (WoSARS) web site. They have a table listing times and frequencies and this can be found at

With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, we are now including meeting details where advised. However, this information should be regarded as optimistic, it is strongly advised that you to check with organisers well before travelling. Above all, please observe any national or local restrictions, including social distancing.

And as of Sunday 19/07/20 & Thursday 23/07/20:

“The Stirling Club resumes it’s normal Sunday &Thursday Club openings with the Shack and Meeting area socially distanced, and has a net on GB3FE Repeater on 145.6625 from 1000hrs (Sun) &  1900hrs (Thurs) for those unable to visit the club.”

Next Sunday the 16th, Lomond Radio Club are running a Bring & Buy event at the John Connolly Centre, 30 Main Street, Renton G82 4LY. Entry is free and doors open at 10am. In addition to the Bring & Buy, there will be traders and refreshments available, tea, coffee and hot food and more. Tables are still available and only cost £5. The Scottish Microwave Round Table will take place in Burntisland in Fife next Saturday, 2 November. The programme includes talks by Sam Jewell, G4DDK Icom IC9700: How Does It Measure up as a VHF DX Transceiver?; Martin Hall, GM8IEM Constructing a 13cm Home Station Around the Kuhne MKU23 G4 Transverter; Heather Lomond, M0HMO Beginning with GNU SDR; and Mark Hughes, GM4ISM Microwave EME. Other attractions include a construction competition, a test equipment bench and an evening dinner. Please note, for safety reasons at the venue, booking is essential.
