FAREWELL GM8BDX (SK)

Alex Scott GM8BDX from the borders passed away on the 10th December in Kelso. His funeral was on the 21st December and was well attended.

GM4AYR

The only confirmed meeting this week will be held this Friday. Ayr Amateur Radio Group will be holding a meeting at 7:30pm in the Prestwick Community Centre. To find out more details of club activities and nets either call Derek, MM0OVD on 07428 994 614 or visit their website www.gm0ayr.org

DV SCOTLAND

The only confirmed suspension of a net for the duration of the festive period is the DV Scotland Phoenix Monday Night Net which will resume on the 8th of January.

WOSARS

And finally, a reminder that the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society are not meeting over the festive period. The next Friday meeting will be on the 5th January. For further information, contact Pat, 2M1CKE by email to macrobius@btinternet.com or visit www.wosars.club.

APPEAL

As mentioned at the beginning of the local news, the majority of items featuring in the GB2RS script have remained unchanged for a considerable period of time. Could club secretaries make a New Year’s resolution to supply fresh new news of their activities. These should be sent to radcom@rsgb.org.uk. The deadline for submissions is 10am on the Thursday prior to the relevant Sunday broadcast.
