NEWS FOR SCOTLAND & CLUB NEWS (GB2RS) Extracts inc Additions

GB2CWR- CALEDONIAN RALLY

The Caledonian Rally is an annual event that brings together 13- to 17-year-old Scouts and Guides from all over Scotland. This year the event takes place between the 14th and 16th of October. Inverness Amateur Radio Society will be running GB2CWR for the event as part of Jamboree on the Air. Aberdeen Amateur Radio Society members are helping with the station, but more experienced operators are sought, especially for set up and break down. Email InvernessRadioSociety@gmail.com.

INVERNESS CLUB – CALEDONIAN RALLY

Inverness & District Amateur Radio Society meets on Wednesday to put the final touches in place for the Caledonian Rally involving up to 400 Scouts and Guides. Set up is from 10am on Friday with testing from 2pm. The station will be on the air from 9am on Saturday and Sunday. InvernessRadioSociety@gmail.com.

REMOTE RADIO & JUNK SALE

Lothians Radio Society has a talk on Remote Radio by Brian, GM8BJF at Braid Hills on Wednesday at 8pm sharp. Brian will be talking about his remote radio setup controlled over the internet. ABERDEEN JUNK SALE

JOTA

The Dundee Amateur Radio Club is running a JOTA station on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The Club also holds open nets on Sundays and Wednesdays from 7.30pm on GB3AG. There is a club night on Tuesday. Martin, 2M0KAU, 0776 370 8933.

SUNDAY

Kingdom Amateur Radio Society has nets on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 7pm on 144.750MHz. Steve, MM0SKX, 0771 105 9343.

Kilmarnock & Loudoun Amateur Radio Club holds a net on Sundays from 2pm around 3.720MHz SSB, later moving to around 3.540MHz at 2.30pm for a CW net. There is a Q & A night via Zoom at 7.30pm on Monday. On Tuesday, there is a meeting at the club house and on Zoom at 7.30pm. klarcinfo@gmail.com

TUESDAY
