FARWELL JOHN GM7OIN

Received from Victor GM3VTB Saturday evening (16th):

“……….. This evening I received the attached email from Andy GM7GDE advising me that John GM7OIN passed away yesterday (Friday) in Ayr Hospital.

John, as you will know, used to be a very regular caller into the busy net following the GB2RS News broadcast at 10.00 on a Sunday morning.

Following a fall, had been in hospital and was improving, but passed away yesterday (15th December)).

He will be sorely missed by the amateur radio community, especially in Ayrshire and by those who know of him through the 2 metre Sunday net.

Our sympathies go to his widow, Shona.

No further details at the moment.

Regards,

Victor ………………………….”
