Keith – GM4DAE (Alias GM8HGT/GM0WSG/MM5AIR/2M0AKT) Honorary Member

Keith GM4DAE and Guide Dog Craig

Keith Ross joined WoSARS in the early 70’s. Due to work commitments and relocations, he couldn’t maintain his membership throughout the period up to the present.

Re-joining the Club in 2021, members quickly noticed his contributions to the various causes he was involved with (along with numerous donations of equipment to the Club), and at the 2021 AGM Keith in recognition of his sterling work, was made an HONARAY MEMBER of the Society.

As you may see from the the certificate, Keith has been a long supporter of the Guide Dogs For The Blind Association raising funds and awareness through talks at schools, organising events:

………………..and of course amateur radio………………….

Another worthy cause that Keith devotes his time to is the ROYAL AIR FORCE – AIR CADETS on aspects of Radio Communications.

Now you may wonder about Keith’s DAE callsign? If  you checkout GM4DAE in our MEMBERS LISTINGS you’ll notice that the call was held by Willie McMillan. Willie was Keith’s cousin and on Willie’s death, Keith had the call transferred to himself.

And as to his other myriad of callsigns, you’re going to have to ask Keith about these 🙂
